Spring Fling Golf Classic & Tennis Social

Missed your opportunity to take home a prize in last year's golf event? Been working on your swing all year in anticipation of a rematch? Or, just a new parent in town looking for a great local course to play? Everyone will have their chance to play in the 2nd Annual Piedmont Spring Fling Golf Classic, being held at Claremont Country Club on Thursday, April 25th, 2019. Known as esteemed course designer Dr. Alistair MacKenzie's "Little Jewel", this historic 18 hole course is over 100 years old, and is located in the nearby Rockridge district of Oakland.

This friendly outing is open to all levels of golfers. There will be a fun, inclusive format, BBQ lunch, prizes throughout the course, and a cocktail and award ceremony following, where we will once again crown the Kings and Queens of Piedmont golf, to forever live on in Piedmont lore. A lucky player may also take home a brand new 2020 Kia Telluride with a hole in one on hole 8!!

In addition to golf, this year we will be adding the Piedmont Spring Fling Tennis Social to the event!

Join Piedmont friends and neighbors on the beautiful tennis courts of Claremont Country Club!  We will start the day with Greyback INVI leading a gentle meditation & stretch exercise while weaving in the importance of daily rituals . We will then head to the courts to sharpen our tennis skills and play some fun drills with the club's tennis pros.  We will wrap-up with a delicious lunch of salads, desserts, and refreshments, including champagne. Players of all skill levels are very welcome!   

So dust off those clubs and racquets, and let's swing, serve, and socialize in support of our kids!!

10:15am - Registration Open (Claremont Country Club tennis court adjacent to tennis parking lot)
10:25am - 10:55am - Greyback meditation and stretching session
11:00am-12:30pm - Tennis Clinics with Claremont Country Club professionals and friends
12:30pm-1:30pm - Champagne Toast and Light Lunch at CCC Grill Patio with salad, grilled chicken, wine, and cookies  

Preliminary Golf Schedule:
11:30am-12:30pm - Registration and BBQ lunch
12:30pm - Tee Time
5:00pm-6:30pm - Post golf cocktail reception and awards
